The Strengthening the Body of Christ workshop uses the insights of family systems theory to reflect on the social dynamics and connections of the congregation. Built around the concepts of Meaning, Purpose, and Belonging, church leaders consider such questions as—What is the nature of our fellowship? How do individuals feel they are an integral part of our congregation? What are the key values, principles, and programs that tie the congregation together? The workshop seeks to work through such concepts as toxicity and sabotage and address how leaders can respond to such challenges in mature and responsible ways that maintain unity through peace.

Strengthening the Body of Christ uses theory to help church members and clergy become more effective leaders of their congregations. This workshop is a call for leaders to grow themselves up into spiritual maturity and guide their congregations into the full measure of the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

• Length: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with two 15 minute breaks, and an hour break for lunch
