Richard Blackburn
Executive Director
Richard Blackburn is Executive Director of the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center. He has broad experience as a trainer, mediator, and consultant with conflicted churches and their leaders. The congregational mediation model he developed represents a transformational approach, placed within the context of Bowen family systems theory. For several years, he attended Edwin Friedman’s Post Graduate Clergy Seminar in Family Emotional Process in Bethesda, MD. Richard also participated in the Postgraduate Program in Bowen Family Systems Theory and Its Applications at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family in Washington, D.C.
Kyle Johnston
Assistant to the Director
Kyle Johnston is LMPC Assistant to the Director. He is a graduate of Wheaton College where he studied International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies. He also participated in the Gordon College Balkan Semester for the Study of War and Peace. He attends Jericho Road Church, where he has served on the Lead Team.

Sheryl Reynolds Slack
Administrative Assistant
Sheryl Reynolds Slack is Administrative Assistant for LMPC, joining the LMPC staff in 2000. She is a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, where she serves as a Peace-with-Justice advocate. She is also an active member of Restore: Carol Stream Peacemakers, a local organization whose mission is “to address harm experienced by members of the Carol Stream community who seek a peaceful resolution through restorative circles, a collaborative and effective dialogue process facilitated by trained group members.”

Pamela Eiten
Assistant for Communications
Pamela joined our staff in February, 2017. She is an experienced educator and accomplished musician. She attends Lombard Mennonite Church along with her husband, Keith. Pamela enjoys reading, photography, traveling to exotic places, weaving, and rooting for her beloved 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs.Contact Us
